Is this a genuine 4×4 off-road campervan? +
Yes. The Frankia Yukon 4×4 runs on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis with true Torque-on-Demand 4×4, +110mm ground clearance, and BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres. It accesses terrain completely unreachable by standard motorhomes.
What driving licence do I need? +
Standard category B licence, held for minimum 5 years. Minimum age 28. We provide a full 60-minute handover briefing before every trip — no prior off-road experience required.
Is wild camping legal in Romania? +
Yes — Romania is one of the few European countries where wild camping is officially legal outside national parks and nature reserves. Our route guides include all approved locations.
How many days fully off-grid? +
~4 days with zero external infrastructure: 3,600Wh storage, 320W solar, 55L water, 93L diesel (~800km), full AC and heating. You genuinely don't need anything.
I'm flying from Germany / Netherlands — how does pick-up work? +
Fly into Bucharest OTP or Brașov. We arrange the briefing and handover at our base. Most clients from DE/NL/UK find direct flights easily. Drop-off is at the same location.
